The Royal Yorkshire Regiment are the product of a merger of three great Yorkshire Regiments; The Prince of Wales’s Own, The Green Howards and The Duke of Wellington’s, all with an incredible history of achievement. Collectively, the Royal Yorkshire Regiment can trace its history back to 1685. The Royal Yorkshire Regiment we know today was formed on 6th June 2006. They are known as ‘Yorkshire’s Warriors’. The Royal Yorkshire Regiment motto is: “Fortune Favours The Brave”.
The Royal Yorkshire Regiment Tartan is the only officially registered tartan in the world, to pay respect to the Royal Yorkshire Regiment. And is fully endorsed by the Royal Yorkshire Regiment.
