The Corps of Signals was formed on the 28th June 1920 and on the 5th August that same year, his Majesty the King conferred the title ‘Royal Corps of Signals’. By the end of WWII members of the Royal Corps of Signals had served in every theatre of war! The Royal Signals are the Army’s professional communicators. Everywhere the Army deploys, from Special Forces and intelligence gathering teams to personnel deployed in armoured vehicles, the Royal Corps of Signals deploy.
The Royal Corps of Signals motto is “Certa Cito” (Swift and Sure). The ‘Royal Corps of Signals Tartan’ is the only officially registered tartan in the world, to celebrate The Royal Corps of Signals. And is fully endorsed by The Royal Corps of Signals.
