The National Health Service was launched on 5 July 1948, it was the birth of what would become an iconic and treasured British institution! It was the first time anywhere in the world that completely free healthcare was made available. It brought hospitals, doctors, nurses and dentists together under one service. The NHS has remained at the forefront of British lives and is thankfully part of the texture of our national life! There are approximately 1.7m amazing people working for the NHS, within circa 223 Trusts across the UK. This unique tartan celebrates our amazing NHS. And as we are proud Northumbrian’s by location, we have injected Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust into it’s DNA. Enjoy wearing it!…
